What is a CVC number?
The CVC number is an extra three digits that have been added to the card number
for most credit card types.
You can find your credit card's CVC number on the back of your card. It is the last three digits of the card number.
It was introduced as a means to counter credit card fraud where a
card number is obtained from an imprint of a credit card. As the CVC number only
appears on the back of the card, it cannot be obtained from an imprint
